Eagle-eyed fans might have missed the ultimate Easter eggs in Deadpool & Wolverine: Ryan Reynolds' own children and an unforgettable canine cameo!

Reynolds has pulled off the ultimate sneak attack by hiding his kids in plain sight in the latest Deadpool film.

The Merc with a Mouth is known for his wild surprises, but this one takes the chimichanga cake! Marvel movies are notorious for their Easter eggs and cameos, and Deadpool & Wolverine is no exception.

With Wolverine variants, Deadpool variants, and a multiverse full of Marvel madness, it’s easy to miss some of the more subtle appearances.

But if you didn’t pay close attention to the credits, you might have missed the sneaky cameos by Reynolds’ own children.

Before the movie’s release, rumours were swirling like a Deadpool spin kick about who might appear. Lady Deadpool had fans buzzing—Taylor Swift? Maybe Blake Lively?

Well, it turns out it’s Blake Lively herself! Reynolds’ better half suited up, joining a crew filled with familiar names, like Free Guy cinematographer George Richmond and frequent collaborator composer Rob Simonsen.

But Reynolds didn’t stop there. He also slipped two of his kids into the film. Seven-year-old Inez plays Kidpool, while one-year-old Olin takes on the adorable role of Babypool.

The couple’s other children, James (9) and Betty (4), took a pass on superhero stardom this time around.

There was much speculation that Walker Scobell, known for his role as a young Reynolds in Netflix’s The Adam Project, would portray Kidpool. But nope, Reynolds kept it all in the family.

At the premiere, Reynolds gushed: “I just want to start by saying thank you to my wife, Blake, who’s here. Her outfit is amazing, spoiler alert. I want to thank my kids – James, Inez, Betty, Olin – who are here.

"I hope that, if I’m lucky, this moment will be the most traumatic thing – that is, the contents of this movie – that happens in your wondrous life. I love that my entire family is here.”

And if you thought that was all, think again. Enter Peggy, the UK's ugliest dog, who has now been immortalised as Dogpool!

Peggy made her grand entrance at the UK Sneak Peek event (11th July), stealing the spotlight from the likes of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

This canine star licked Reynolds' face in the trailer and instantly won over fans.

Peggy’s claim to fame came in 2023 when she was crowned the UK's ugliest dog.

But her owner, Holly Middleton, sees her differently: “Even though some people find Peggy's unusual appearance strange, and in rare cases off-putting, and despite Peggy winning the ugliest dog in the UK title, we think she is beautiful both inside and out, and wouldn't change her for the world."

Reynolds, always the charmer, felt the same.

He told Empire Magazine: “[Dogpool] was, just like many things during the writing process, a tiny little afterthought, and it grew. It was one of those things where you just keep listening to the movie, and Dogpool became a staple.”

He even called Peggy an "animal manifestation of Wade Wilson," which makes sense, given Deadpool’s own disfigured appearance.

For those not in the Marvel-know, Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, is a wisecracking anti-hero left horribly scarred after an experimental treatment.

Keep your eyes peeled for these adorable and hilarious cameos when you watch Deadpool & Wolverine.

Whether it's Reynolds' kids adding a touch of family fun or Peggy the Dogpool bringing some paw-some action, this film is packed with surprises.
