The new four-part series will air on Dave, the comedy and light entertainment channel under BBC’s UKTV subsidiary, which is undergoing a rebrand to U&Dave.

The original run of Modern Life Is Goodish was a massive success, peaking at 1.5 million viewers per episode and becoming one of UKTV’s longest-running and most successful original commissions.

Armed with his trusty computer, clicker, and signature checked shirt, Gorman will dive back into the world of modern life with his unique blend of stand-up, visual storytelling, and real-world experimentation.

From the trivial to the significant, no aspect of contemporary living is safe from Gorman's comedic scrutiny.

Reflecting on his return, Gorman said: “I’m delighted to be getting back in the Goodish saddle.

"It’s been seven years since I hung up my Modern Life Is Goodish clicker and in that time, life has definitely got seven years moderner – so there should be plenty to get my teeth into.”

The revival of the show has been commissioned by UKTV’s senior executive for comedy and entertainment, Mark Iddon, and ordered by Cherie Hall, Dave channel director, and Hilary Rosen, director of commissioning.

Iddon expressed his excitement, saying: “I’m massively thrilled to announce the return of Modern Life Is Goodish to the U&Dave audience. Dave Gorman’s unique comedic insights and witty PowerPoint presentations have always resonated with our audience.

"His ability to dissect the quirks of modern life with humour and intelligence is unmatched. I can’t wait to dive back into the joyous and thought-provoking observations that make modern life not just good, but goodish.”

Gorman’s live career has been nothing short of spectacular.

He’s sold out multiple UK tours, performed three runs off-Broadway in New York, toured the USA, and set a record for the fastest-selling show in the history of the Studio Theatre at The Sydney Opera House.

His live performances have earned him numerous accolades, including the title of Best One Person Show at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival (twice) and nominations for the Edinburgh Comedy Award (Perrier Award), the South Bank Award, and two prestigious American Drama Desk Award nominations.

As Gorman prepares to return to our screens, fans can look forward to more of the clever observations and humorous dissections of everyday life that made the original series a hit.

His new series joins a lineup of exciting comedy entertainment commissions on U&Dave this year, including Battle In The Box hosted by Jimmy Carr, Follow The Leader with Jamali Maddix, and returning series of World's Most Dangerous Roads, Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable, and scripted comedy Meet The Richardsons.

So, dust off your clickers and get ready to laugh out loud as Dave Gorman once again proves that modern life is not just good, but gloriously goodish.

With his razor-sharp humour and unique perspective, Gorman is set to remind us all why we fell in love with his take on the absurdities of everyday life in the first place.
