Prison Break’s famous brothers are returning to star together once more.

Actors Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, best known for their roles as Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield in the 00s American prison drama, will be reuniting on screen as they both are set to star in new thriller Snatchback, Variety reports.

The show’s synopsis reads: “Inspired by the life of a real covert intelligence officer who is still active in the field today, the series follows a highly skilled privately contracted team of operatives as they recover hostages across the globe from some of the most exotic, and equally dangerous locations on the planet.”

Snatchback is not the first time Miller and Purcell have reunited on screen following their four seasons of Prison Break in the mid-00s.

The pair reprised their roles as Lincoln and Michael in the Prison Break movie, The Final Break, and also appeared in the revival series which aired in 2017.

But Miller and Purcell have also inhabited another fictional universe together, through American broadcaster the CW’s Arrowverse series The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. In both, Miller played the role of supervillain Captain Cold, while Purcell played the super-powered pyromaniac Heat Wave.

Celebrating getting both actors on board to star in their new series Snatchback, one of the show’s executive producers - and the wife of Dominic Purcell - Tish Cyrus-Purcell said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be a part of this team with such talented individuals.

“Rosenbaum has crafted an emotionally charged and high stakes world where Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller reunite, bringing to the screen the extraordinary heroes of a real-life private hostage recovery team.”

Purcell himself celebrated the series news on Instagram, telling fans: “I’m indebted to my beautiful wife @tishcyruspurcell and her production company @hopetownentertainment and her incredible staff for bringing this magnificent piece to the surface…

“Citizen x, who is still active in the field today… Sir your life is extraordinary,” he continued. “A life of extreme danger. A life that has saved many innocents from the evil perils that lurk in the dark Shadowy world of hostage and recovery. It’s a tremendous responsibility and honor to portray you.”
