The winners of Race Across The World 2024 have confessed they’d be more than up for another challenge after fans started clamouring for an all-stars series.

Best friends Alfie and Owen were crowned the Race Across The World champions on Thursday (30th May) after being the first to make the sun-drenched finish line at Lombok, Indonesia.

They beat runners-up Eugenie and Isabel by only eight minutes, and now the competition is over, fans are desperate to see if favourite teams from years gone by could make a comeback.

TV critic and broadcaster Scott Bryan shared on X moments after the RATW finale: They really should do an all-stars #RaceAcrossTheWorld The nice women from the Canada series and the people who took taxis the whole way included 100%.”

With plenty of positive comments after, it seems Scott’s not alone in that dream, and while chatting exclusively to virginradio.co.uk after their big win, Alfie and Owen contemplated taking part in another gruelling yet rewarding race.

Football referee Alfie said: “Realistically, if an all-stars came up, we wouldn't say no. We've spoken about if they came back to us and said ,‘we want you again’, we would drop everything and say yes.”

On who they’d like to share that race with, both Alfie and Owen have some series two favourites in mind.

“I’d like Emon and Jamiul, they both seem very competitive,” trainee pilot Owen replied. He’s not wrong either, with the series two favourites coming in first place back in 2020.

“The competitiveness would be an all-timer,” Alfie agreed.

While we still await news about a potential all-stars series, Race Across The World is now gearing up for the next Celebrity season

Four brave celebrities, each paired with a trusty teammate, will embark on an epic journey from Africa to the Arctic, crossing 24 countries when the show returns.

With no planes, smartphones, or internet to help them navigate, they'll need to rely on their wits, charm, and sheer determination to outpace their competitors and win the ultimate adventure.

Rumours are currently swirling around who might be next to face the intense journey, with Kelly Brook and husband Jeremy Parisi being just one couple potentially giving up the life of luxury for the next star-studded series.

“Kelly has travelled all over the world with Jeremy – and she’s really competitive, so she’ll be brilliant TV,” a source told The Sun.

Race Across the World is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
