The Easter Bank Holiday weekend is officially on and there’s plenty more TV picks to keep everyone entertained.

If the ever-predictable weather is keeping you indoors, look no further than virginradio.co.uk to give the lowdown on what to watch on the box.

Here’s what’s on telly this Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

Gareth Malone’s Easter Passion - 11:30am Easter Sunday (BBC One)

Gareth Malone is continuing his mission to coach eight amateur singers to stage Bach’s St John Passion on the 300th anniversary of its first performance.

The second episode, airing on Easter Sunday, will see the choirmaster leap into the world of orchestra conducting as he trains up the novice performers for the historic production.

They’ll also be joined by three world-class soloists: Julia Doyle, Nicholas Mulroy and Roderick Williams, who sang at the coronation of King Charles in Westminster Abbey.

The full performance will then be shown on BBC Two at 6pm

This Town - 9pm Easter Sunday (BBC One)

The latest drama from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is officially landing on Easter Sunday.

Titled This Town, the six-part series will tell the story of an extended family and four young people who are drawn into an explosive and iconic music scene.

Created, written and executive produced by Knight, the series stars Levi Brown from Loss and Return, The Book of Boba Fett’s Jordan Bolger, Line of Duty’s Ben Rose and Eve Austin from You, as its four young leads.

Paul O’Grady’s Great Elephant Adventure - 8pm Easter Sunday (ITV)

Paul O’Grady’s final TV project, Paul O’Grady’s Great Elephant Adventure, will air this weekend to mark the first anniversary of his death.

The two-part series follows Paul as he travels through Thailand and Laos to “celebrate the wonderful work done by elephant conservation centres to rescue, rehabilitate and protect these most majestic, but vulnerable, of animals.”

The last documentary from Paul follows on from the release of a feature-length tribute doc to the comedian - The Life and Death of Lily Savage

Speaking about Paul's final project, executive producer Clare Barton shared: "It was an honour and a privilege to make Paul’s final TV project with him out in SE Asia."

She continued: "Coupled with the opportunity to pay tribute to him with a deep dive into the life of his most famous creation - Lily Savage. It has been very emotional and moving to interview the people who knew him best and to delve into the golden archive of Paul in his absolute prime."

Passenger - 9pm Easter Sunday (ITV)

The drama continues on ITV with the next episode of mind-bending drama Passenger

Vera actress Wumni Mosaky stars as former Met Police Detective Riya Ajunwa, as she deals with life working in the fictional sleepy Northern village.

Riya’s unfulfilling experience changes completely, however, after the mysterious disappearance and reappearance of a local girl seemingly triggers more strange and horrific events around the suspiciously unsuspicious community.

Written by Broadchurch actor Andrew Buchan, Passenger will see the tiny crime-fighting team in Chadder Vale attempt to answer the questions left after Katie Wells (Rowan Robinson) returns to the town, having seemingly experienced something traumatic that she’s not willing to share.

Passenger will also air the next episode at 9pm on Easter Monday. All episodes are available to watch on ITVX now.

Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer - 7:40pm Easter Sunday (Channel 4)

After Virgin Radio’s Leigh Francis took on the Great British Bake Off tent last week, a fresh batch on new celebs will arrive for the next episode of the star-studded Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off.

This week, the stars hoping to avoid some soggy bottoms will be Dancing on Ice’s Oti Mabuse, broadcasting legend Gabby Logan, comedian David O'Doherty and another Virgin Radio presenter, Suzi Ruffell.

Anton & Giovanni’s Adventures in Spain finale - 8pm Easter Monday  (BBC One)

Strictly Come Dancing’s talented duo Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice are back on the road for the finale of their latest travelogue series - Adventures in Spain.

Across the three episodes of Adventures in Spain, Anton and Giovanni have travelled across the Andalusian region to Seville, before stopping off at Ronda, Granada and of course, Benidorm.

For the grand finale, they’ll land in Bilbao where they’re given a last-minute invite to perform at the city’s biggest festival of the year.

With over 30,000 people attending the Semana Grande festival, and no routine planned, Anton and Giovanni will certainly have their work cut out for them!
