Death in Paradise series 13 finale first-look teases emotional Neville and Florence scene

Death in Paradise series 13’s first look photos tease an emotional scene between Neville and Florence.

After last week (17th March)’s episode ended on a cliffhanger with Neville (Ralf Little) revealing he plans to go travelling, episode eight’s photos suggest that the detective inspector will still be sticking around for at least one more mystery on Saint Marie after all.

In the photos, Neville and Florence (Joséphine Jobert) - who recently returned to the show after a long absence - can be seen chatting on a beautiful beach.

But their latest reunion looks to be one filled with many emotions, as the first-look photos show the two having what looks to be quite a serious conversation.

In another of the photos, Neville is shown alone on the beach looking perplexed, but then a third photo shows the duo embracing - suggesting next Sunday (24th March)’s scene may have a happy ending.

Death in Paradise series 13’s final episode synopsis teases what the last case of the series has in store for all of the much-loved cast.

It reads: “It’s the team’s most confounding puzzle yet when a passenger boards a flight to Dominica but then seemingly vanishes mid-flight, only to be found back on Saint Marie soil... shot dead. The pilot and flight attendant deny ever seeing the victim on their plane, raising the team’s suspicions.

“[When] two further suspects are found back in Saint Marie - it transpires the victim had been caught up in a messy love affair. Neville starts to question whether he’s losing his mind, seriously doubting himself for the first time, until all the pieces of the puzzle finally fit together, revealing the startling truth. Meanwhile, an old face has returned, and Neville has a huge decision to make.”

Death in Paradise series 13 comes to a close on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this Sunday, 24th March, at 9pm.
