Unmissable Netflix rom-com series One Day had us all hoping for a love like Emma and Dexter’s, and now the streamer has showcased the incredible chemistry between Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall once again in a hilarious blooper reel.

The tear-jerking series, based on the David Nicholls book of the same name, launched on Netflix in February and followed the will-they-won’t-they love affair of Emmy Morley (Mod) and Dexter Mayhew (Woodall) from the night they meet in 1998 at their university graduation through to the early noughties.

Each episode finds Dex and Em, one year older, on one particular date as they grow and change, move together and apart, experience joy and heartbreak.

All those emotional moments left plenty of viewers reaching for the tissues, so it’s no surprise Netflix has provided some light relief for those fans looking to get even more out of the critically-acclaimed adaptation.

From wayward seagulls to video-bombing cats, it’s clear the often heartbreaking series wasn’t totally tough to film, with Ambika and Leo not immune to getting the giggles.

The on-screen couple also opened up to Graham Norton on Virgin Radio about their chemistry testing during the auditions for One Day back in February

Having only recently come to a career in acting, with a stand out performance with Ben Whishaw' in This Is Going to Hurt , Ambika feared she'd not do the book and character, that she loved, justice.

She said: "It [This Is Going to Hurt] had been up for like, a couple of months or a month or so. And so I had those credentials behind me. But yeah, I got the audition for it.

"But I turned it down originally. Because I was like, nah, like, I'm not gonna... I'm not going to do that. Like, I love the book too much, I love the character too much. It's not me. Idiot!

"And then I've actually sort of sent a tape in and then I got the part a couple of months later."

All episodes of One Day are available on Netflix now.
