Taskmaster series 17 is almost about to begin!

Greg Davies, Little Alex Horne and five new hilarious contestants will hit our TVs for the first time on Thursday, 28th March at 9pm.

Channel 4 revealed this news today (12th March) alongside a brand new photo of series 17's full cast, which is made up of Ted Lasso’s Nick Mohammed, Inside No. 9’s Steve Pemberton, Joanne McNally, John Robins and Sophie Willan all looking very dapper in an Edwardian themed living room.

“Good day! A new series of #Taskmaster approaches,” the social media post said, again hinting at this series’ theme being an old fashioned one.

Series 17’s official air date matches with what Alex Horne teased during his recent appearance on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with webuyanycar.

“Series 17 starts soon,” he told listeners, predicting correctly: “I’m gonna say it might be March.”

Fans of the hilarious show reacted positively to the news about Taskmaster’s airdate on social media. “Love the fact it’s not long between series!” one person penned on X (formerlu Twitter). “Brilliant show!!!” they added.

“Can’t wait!” another person said, while a third wrote: “Totally and utterly on board the [John Robins] hype train, Choo Choo!”

Each of Taskmaster series 17’s contestants will be bringing their own fan clubs to the show, while many long-time fans of the show will also be looking forward to discovering five more potential Taskmaster icons over the upcoming ten weeks.

Robins’ friendship with Horne - immortalised on their shared YouTube channel Bad Golf - promises some extra special humour on the show this series.

Taskmaster series 17 will begin airing on Channel 4 and on demand every Thursday, from 28th March at 9pm.
