The two Strictly finalists, Bobby Brazier & Ellie Leach, have been rather close since the final ended and the tour began.

Strictly Come Dancing has often been associated with blossoming romances, drawing the infamous label of the 'Strictly Curse', though it often applies when love is the air between a professional and their celebrity partner.

In fact, the rumour mill has been spinning wildly this year when it comes to potential partnerships, especially around Coronation Street actress and winner of the most recent series, Ellie Leach.

Eyebrows have been raised since she was paired with professional Vito Coppola, with the two appearing together across all of their personal social media profiles over the past few months.

Adding a seed of doubt to fan theories around the 'curse' striking again, are frequent current outings with fellow soap actor and Strictly finalist Bobby Brazier.

They often been spotted going for dinners and drinks together as 'just friends' since the final, but many have started to speculate that they've become even closer over the course of the national tour.

Having just performed their final show at the O2 arena, both stars and professionals of this year's Strictly crop were in attendance at The TV Choice Awards.

This included the previously mentioned Bobby, who wanted to talk tour first before he addressed any gossip, with virginradio.co.uk and other press.

He was clearly proud of his dancing accomplishments, though it's clear he'll miss the experience: "The tour finished last night. And I say that with a little bit of sadness, because it's just been the time of my life.

"And I felt like I've been partying with 10,000 to 12,000 people every night, putting on a show, which is so much fun. But yeah, it was a nice way to put the whole strictly thing to bed."

Conversation quickly moved from tapping feet to pumping hearts, as Bobby was apparently flustered about questions regarding his new acquaintance.

When pressed, Bobby tried to avoid giving too much away: "Yeah, Ellie is a sweetheart who's just there actually. Yeah, look at her, she's beautiful. She's amazing. She's good at what she does. She's a good dancer. She is a lovely, lovely, lovely friend of mine. She's a lovely, lovely, lovely friend of mine."

He then protested about relationship over prospects as he said he has some 'career things' to focus on first'

Putting his day of job of Eastenders first, he shared his excitement of returning to Albert Square.

"Yeah, I can't wait. I can't wait. I missed them. I've missed them so much." He said, "I've got no idea what's going on. I just I hope that I do some bits with Bobby Beale. I miss Clay a lot. And spending time on set with him is always a lot of fun. But more than anything, I'm just grateful to go back and use a different part of my brain and, you know, try and be an actor again."

He firmly places his hopes of progression to Hollywood by using the soap as a school to improve his talents, confessing: "I just want to be good at what I do. And I think that going back to EastEnders will help me become better, for however long will help me to become better because there's so many great people there to absorb from. And we'll see and we'll see what life does with me.

"I'm not really thinking too much about what or where or when I just want to progress as an actor."

He then joked his way out from any further prying questions, admitting that his for his return he's: "Gonna make sure I know my lines. And that's all I can do."
