Taylor Swift thanks fans for support during ‘rough’ moments of Eras Tour

Taylor Swift thanked fans for their support at the world premiere of her Eras Tour concert film on Wednesday.

Explaining how hard everyone had worked on the world-famous tour, Swift said: “My band, my dancers, our crew, we did this show rain or shine, in sickness and in health, no matter what was going on in our lives.”

But then she turned the attention to how this potential hardship was made wonderful thanks to her fans. 

“And we did it with a grin on our face,” she celebrated. “Because of what greeted us on the other side.

“What you guys were doing in the audience, the amount of care and preparation and passion that you put in - the intensity that you put in to coming to these shows,” she continued.

“You pulled us out of anything rough that might have been going on in our lives. You let us forget about it for three and a half hours every night on that stage, so thank you so much for doing that for us.”

Swift gave this speech to the 13 separate audiences gathered in LA’s the Grove shopping mall’s cinema theatres, welcoming Swifties and famous fans of the ‘Antihero’ and ‘Cruel Summer’ singer alike to the show.

Among some of the celebrity supporters present were stars including Beyoncé, Adam Sandler and Simu Liu. Also present was the concert film’s filmmaker Sam Wrench, and Swift’s team of musicians and dancers who performed with her on the tour.

During the speech, the 33-year-old also celebrated her "crazy" career and how much fun she’d had on her most recent tour which celebrated her entire back catalogue of music.

“I’ve always had fun doing this. I can’t believe I get to do music as a career, that’s crazy!” the ‘Blank Space’ artist who will soon be releasing the latest of her Taylor’s Version re-recordings, 1989 (Taylor’s Version).

“I’ve always had so much fun doing it,” she continued. “[But] I’ve never had this much fun in my life as I have had on the Eras Tour. It is far and away just the most electric experience of my life.”

Taylor finished the evening by revealing the Eras Tour concert film would be being released a day early in cinemas across the US and Canada, as a treat to celebrate her loyal Swifites.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour will be released in cinemas in the UK on Friday 13th October.
