The season three finale of Only Murders In The Building has only just aired, but we already have an update on whether the show will be back for a fourth season.

The latest episode of the acclaimed Disney+ show was released yesterday, 3rd October, and brought the third season to a conclusion.

And with the end of season three came the announcement that Only Murders will indeed be back for a fourth season.

The Only Murders in the Building X account (formerly Twitter), shared the news that we’d be seeing more from our favourite podcasters/amateur sleuths, writing: “Only Murders in the Building is coming back for Season 4! Let the investigating begin... 🕵️‍♂️🕵️‍♂️🕵️‍♀️ #OMITB”.

Anyone who watched episode ten of season three won’t be surprised at the news, as it ended on something of a cliff hanger. Yes, just as it did at the end of the first and second seasons, the latest season of the comedy ended with an apparent murder.

Spoilers ahead if you aren’t up to date with Only Murders In The Building.

Having worked out that Death Razzle Dazzle producer Cliff (Wesley Taylor) murdered Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) after his fellow producer and mother Donna (Linda Edmond) tried to poison him, Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) celebrate. Meanwhile however, Sazz (Jane Lynch) is shot through the window of Charles’ apartment. Being Charles’ stunt double, it seems likely that Steve Martin’s character was actually the target.

As Sazz lays on the floor, she attempts to write something on Charles’ floor with blood from her chest. And with that, the season comes to an end.

Whilst we're all keen to get to the bottom of what happened, at this stage, there is no news on when season four will air.

Seasons 1-3 of Only Murders in the Building are available to watch on Disney+.
