Raymond Blanc reveals details of latest ITV cookery show with a twist

Renowned French Chef and television personality Raymond Blanc is returning to our screens to explore all there is to know about some royally good food.

In the new ITV show Raymond Blanc’s Royal Kitchen Gardens, the multi-award-winning chef and author will be travelling the UK to visit Britain’s royal kitchen gardens.

The ten part series will see the chef meet with the people who work and cook in the kitchens each day, explore the diverse ingredients and innovations of the kitchen gardens, plus cook and eat a lot along the way!

As ITV’s release statement for the show explained: “His Majesty King Charles III has long advocated the ‘kitchen garden’ and his very personal interests in gardening, sustainability and delicious outdoor larders, has created breathtaking spaces in the grounds of the Royal households.”

Therefore there will be a lot for Raymond to investigate and reveal while visiting royal gardens including those of Highgrove House in Gloucestershire and the seaside gardens of Scotland’s Castle of Mey.

“What a huge honour it was to be invited to visit five of the most magnificent walled gardens in the UK, to meet the wonderful gardeners who maintain them, learn about their extraordinary stories, and hear about their passion for sustainability,” the chef said after news of the show was released.

“I’ve had fun too, discovering their history and the edible treasures that grow within these regal gardens, and much cooking, of course,” he continued, before adding: ”I can’t wait to share my journey with the ITV audience.”

Leanne Clarke of ITV Entertainment said the show will provide “an extraordinary look into some of the most breathtaking kitchen gardens in the UK.”

She also added: “Having Raymond Blanc on board to show viewers around, meeting the people who work in these kitchens and making his own dishes inspired by these unique locations is a match made in culinary heaven.”
