Oppenheimer has finally hit cinemas in the UK, and fans are being warned to get to the screens early.

Christopher Nolan created a special edition of the movie to be shown on IMAX screens, on 70mm film instead of digitally.

The version for purists comes with a potential catch though - as many people are speculating that there won't be trailers before the main event.

One film expert tweeted: "OPPENHEIMER IMAX70MM SHOWINGS WILL NOT HAVE TRAILERS. Due to the size of the print maxing out the platter size, the movie will start promptly at showtime. Arrive not just on time, but early!"

It is thought that most screenings won't bother to show trailers in a digital format before switching to the special 70mm film.

The poster, called Dylan, added: "The POSSIBILITY of theatres playing trailers in DIGITAL is there. But it's very unlikely that every theatre will do that then switch to their film projectors for the feature presentation. Most theatres will be eliminating that process entirely, so just show up on time!!"

Another added: "PSA: To anyone seeing #Oppenheimer in IMAX 70MM, the film will start promptly at the listed showtime and will have no trailers due to the size of the film print."

Fans had been wowed by the size of the film reel.

Cillian Murphy has opened up about how much the role took over his life.

We also asked Virgin Radio listeners whether they're more excited about Barbie or Oppenheimer.
