Michelle Rodriguez reveals she and Chris Pine made 'the best team' in Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves

Michelle Rodriguez has revealed why she and co-star Chris Pine make the best team in their upcoming movie Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves.

The iconic table-top game is being adapted for the big screen once again with some brand new characters. Rodriguez plays Holga alongside Pine who is taking on the role of Edgin as they embark on an epic but dangerous quest to retrieve a lost relic.

At the UK premiere of Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves in London last night (23rd March), Michelle revealed to virginradio.co.uk how much she enjoyed working alongside her co-star, especially when doing the stunts.

When asked how she found doing all the stunts, she said: “Oh I love that. That’s where I’m at home. This is what the great thing about working with Chris is, he’s so good with words and I hate talking. But like, I’d rather talk with my body than with my mouth so we make the best team.”

Dungeons and Dragons is a beloved game and story for fans across the world, so the movie has got some pretty high standards it needs to live up to.

However, Michelle reassured it would be the “perfect balance” for those who have played the game before.

She explained: “I kind of feel like they pulled it off when it comes to the adventure in one's head when they play. You know because that's really what you want to get out because you want to leave room for the people who don't play the game and just tell a good story.

“The point is that good stories just come out of the process of playing D&D and what they wanted to do was just capture that in the mind. And I think that they did a great job where it's not taking itself too seriously.”

She continued: “It's also not making poking too much fun at it…so like it's a perfect balance, I think. And I love that 80s style, man!”

We also caught up with Chris Pine who spoke about the pressure of making sure fans were happy with the adaption.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves will land in cinemas on 31st March.
